Quality management right from the start
Comprehensive quality from BWF Feltec
At BWF Feltec, product quality begins with the raw materials. As a market leader, we work constantly to improve our processes.
Our primary goal is to inspire our customers
To do so, we focus on comprehensive quality assurance, seamless processes and efficient work structures. We also attach great importance to dealing responsibly with finite resources, and back this up through strict quality management.
Our system ensures consistent quality while also taking ecological guidelines into account.
Certification according to ISO
As a supplementary, independent body, the ECO Umweltinstitut (Environmental Institute) regularly audits our quality standards. Our ISO and eco certifications are renewed regularly, as a matter of course.
In early 2017, were declared a LEED member by the U.S. Green Building Council.

We are committed to long-term partnerships. How do we implement this? We care for our natural conditions. How do we put this into practice? You will find the answers in our sustainability statement on the topics of employees, education, society and the environment.

Electricity and steam generation
via our hydropower and cogeneration plant
We generate electricity and steam with highly efficient water turbines and our own cogeneration plant. 10% of the electricity required at the Offingen site is C02 neutral thanks to a 120-year-old water turbine.
Our cogeneration plant, which also covers part of our heat requirements, meets another 50% of our electricity requirements. In addition to hot water, steam is also produced for felting, milling and dyeing processes. By means of an air and heat recovery procedure, we can recover and reuse up to 20% of the energy used, depending on the process. This reduces our consumption of natural gas, and thus also CO2 emissions.
