Individuals with expertise and character form our company. What does this mean for us as the BWF Group? We live partnership within our company and beyond. What do we mean by this? We effectively use technology and innovation to actively protect the environment and climate. How do we implement this? We view the environment as our habitat and the global climate as a whole, recognising our opportunities for action.

We generate over half our electricity requirement on-site at our Offingen plant. In doing so, we generate 10% of the energy in a carbon-neutral manner through hydroelectric power. The water turbine has been in operation for more than 120 years. Our photovoltaic system makes another important contribution to the environmentally and climate friendly power supply. Solar energy provided by the rooftop PV system on our production halls covers another 5% of our electricity requirement. The energy at the Offingen site, generated extremely efficiently by the combined heat and power plant, supplies not only 50% of the electricity requirement, but also part of the heating requirement. Steam is also provided for production and heating through hot water generation. Up to 20% of the energy used is recovered through air and heat recovery processes, and can be fed back into the system.

Certification according to ISO 9001 means we carry out regular quality controls in three shifts around the clock, at all stages of production. This begins with the delivery of raw materials, and continues through processing up to the dispatch of the finished goods.

Whether it is colour, surface, dimensional accuracy, accuracy of fit or function - nothing escapes the watchful eyes of our responsible and highly trained employees. Supported by state-of-the-art measuring instruments and testing facilities, product quality is monitored continuously. In this context, continuing education and modernisation are of paramount importance.
