Filtration in the chemical industry
Filter technology from BWF Envirotec
Filter technology has a variety of tasks in chemical plants: Filtration in the chemical industry has the function of ensuring the purity of products, providing maximum protection in the workplace and minimizing the emission of pollutants into the environment. BWF Envirotec takes all these factors into account and designs filter media and industrial filters to meet individual requirements in the best possible way.
Our industrial air filters separate dusts to increase productivity and reduce product contamination. They are also used for explosive dusts and dissipate electrostatic charges.

Industrial filters for the chemical industry - achieve the lowest emission values with our customized filtration solutions
- The chemical industry covers a wide range of different processes. This diverse environment generates various chemical dusts, the separation of which has been our core business for many decades. Our high-tech filter media ensure that the industrial filter system in your chemical plant works optimally and that particles are separated efficiently.
- Our application technology engineers offer well-founded solutions with maximum efficiency for filter technology. Our aim is to help our customers set standards and achieve high performance targets in the best possible way. That is why we also offer a comprehensive service portfolio for your baghouse in the chemical industry. This includes installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing and optimization of baghouses. Our employees are familiar with all baghouses in the chemical sector and will be happy to look after your industrial filter system too.
- Filtration in your chemical plant by your partner BWF Envirotec ensures that harmful particles and contaminants are minimized with maximum efficiency and effectiveness. The filtration of chemical plants achieves emission values that are often far below the legally permissible limits. We select filter material and filter technology individually according to the process to be filtered. This allows you to achieve high performance and optimum service life with your industrial baghouse. This not only contributes to the safety of the working environment, but also meets the highest standards for environmental protection and air quality.
BWF Envirotec filters - ideal for filtration in the chemical industry
CIP filter bags from BWF Envirotec
CIP filter media from BWF Envirotec have been specially developed for use in the pharmaceutical industry. They are characterized by very good washability and are therefore ideal for frequent product changes, as contamination is effectively avoided. Polyester and polypropylene fibers are primarily used, which form the basis of the individually manufactured CIP filter media. The high safety and quality standards of the hygienically demanding industrial processes are fully complied with.
needlona® filter bags produced of needle felt
needlona® industrial filters are characterized by excellent separation of the often valuable dusts and thus make a positive contribution to increasing the productivity of your chemical plant's production processes. The versatility of our filter media makes it possible to generate customized solutions for your plant.
PM-Tec® filter bags with ePTFE membrane
To avoid product contamination caused by fiber abrasion of the filter bags, we also offer PM-Tec® filter media made of needle felt or glass fiber fabric and laminated ePTFE membrane, depending on the existing process. The use of the ePTFE membrane can help to improve the filtration performance of your chemical process. This is particularly important in sensitive industrial environments, such as the chemical industry, where the highest standards of filtration in terms of product purity and quality must be maintained.
ExCharge® to counteract explosive dusts
We recommend the use of ExCharge® filter media where there is a risk of dust explosion. These are necessary if electrostatic charges occur during the process and filtration process in your chemical plant (conveying, grinding, milling, drying). The use of high-quality stainless steel fibers in the support fabric ensures safe dissipation of electrical charges from the filter bags. This ensures the safety of your workplace. An ExCharge® filter medium achieves resistance values of significantly less than 106 Ohm, measured in accordance with DIN 54345 (Part 1 and Part 5) and fulfills the electrostatic requirements for dissipative filter media. Provided that the filter bag is safely and permanently earthed through the system, there are no concerns from an electrostatic point of view about its use in potentially explosive dust atmospheres in zones 20, 21 and 22 and in potentially explosive gas atmospheres 0, 1 and 2, regardless of the explosion group of the gases. This underlines the high quality and reliability of ExCharge® filter media.
