Why EMAS?

The European Union's EMAS system is considered the most demanding environmental management system worldwide. It goes beyond the requirements of ISO 14001 and stands for verifiably tested environmental performance, transparency, and continuous improvement of ecological processes.

As part of the validation process, all environmentally relevant aspects at BWF Tec GmbH & Co. KG were examined, from energy and resource efficiency to waste and emissions management and environmental communication.

The official EMAS environmental statement documents the results and shows the measures BWF Tec GmbH & Co. KG is taking to continuously reduce its ecological footprint: through energy-efficient production processes, the expansion of renewable energies, optimised resource cycles and the reduction of CO2 emissions. This reaffirms the commitment of the BWF Group's textile divisions to environmental and climate protection, as well as to sustainable corporate development.

Sustainable thinking and action are firmly anchored in our corporate DNA. EMAS validation confirms our commitment to systematically implementing and further developing environmental and resource protection in all company divisions.

The handover of the EMAS certificate by Oliver Stipar, Regional Managing Director of the IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce), honours the outstanding commitment of our team under the leadership of Integrated Management & Safety Specialist Michael Kampka.

This milestone in our sustainability strategy further strengthens our dedication to making a tangible impact on environmental and climate protection through innovative products and responsible actions.
