BWF Protec Expands Product Portfolio for the Steel Industry

On 1 January 2026, BWF Protec will take over the brake felt division of Fissco AG. This will strengthen our range of services for the steel industry and the steel and metal processing industry and integrate an established range of high-quality coil felts and brake felts into our existing portfolio.

Fissco qualities now in the BWF CoilTec range

Over the past few months, our team has been working intensively to seamlessly integrate Fissco's proven brake felt qualities into the BWF CoilTec product line. We will continue to offer these products in their proven quality under the name ‘BWF CoilTec by Fissco’.
For former Fissco customers, this means:
All brake felts and coil felts continue to comply with the familiar specifications. No re-qualification or testing is required. Only the brand name and, depending on the region, the direct contact person will change.

Greater development strength, greater production capacity

Thanks to the integration, customers and partners will now benefit from the combined material and application expertise of BWF Protec. With expanded production capabilities, in-depth know-how and a high level of delivery reliability, we will continue to provide reliable support to the steel industry and steel service centres in demanding applications such as coil braking, strip guiding and sensitive surface processes.
