BWF Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG consolidates thermoforming expertise in Offingen
Successful integration of tkt Technische Kunststoff-Teile GmbH

At the end of 2025, BWF Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG took a decisive step in advancing its thermoforming technology: the integration of tkt Technische Kunststoff-Teile GmbH and the relocation of all thermoforming production from Geretsried to Offingen have been successfully completed.

As of January 1, 2026, tkt Technische Kunststoff-Teile GmbH will no longer operate independently – its processes, technologies and products have been fully incorporated into BWF Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG. This project represents not merely a site transfer, but a strategic consolidation of two manufacturing worlds, supported by significant investments in production technology, efficiency and long-term competitiveness. Through this consolidation, BWF Thermoforms, a business unit of BWF Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG, now centralizes its entire thermoforming expertise at the main site in Offingen.

Modernization and Expansion of the Offingen Site

As part of the integration, the Offingen site has been extensively expanded and technically modernized. In addition to the four existing machines relocated from Geretsried, two new fully automated thermoforming systems from Geiss have been installed.

Synergies that Create Added Value

“The consolidation of production processes at a single site brings numerous advantages. In Offingen, design, toolmaking, machining, assembly and logistics now mesh optimally,” said Maximilian Kraus, Director of Thermoforming, Machining & SCM.

Logistics also benefits from the existing structures and the high level of specialist expertise of BWF employees. Optimized processes and close integration with the established shipping network create additional flexibility and the opportunity for coordinated combined deliveries – for example for customers who also source profiles from BWF Profiles.

Sustainability Embedded in the Process

BWF Thermoforms continues to focus on material-specific recycling and regranulation of production waste to keep materials in the cycle. The new machines, in addition to improved throughput times, feature modern cooling technology and reduced energy consumption, resulting in an improved CO₂ footprint.

Expanded Service Portfolio and New Opportunities

With the automated systems and tightly linked processes, both complex single parts and products with higher production volumes can now be manufactured efficiently. The modernized production environment creates new opportunities for innovative applications and forward-looking industry solutions.

“The integration of tkt Technische Kunststoff-Teile GmbH sustainably strengthens the future of our thermoforming business unit within the BWF Group. With state-of-the-art equipment, consolidated expertise and optimized processes, we are creating clear added value for our customers while setting the course for further growth and innovative solutions,” said Michael Kasper, Managing Director of BWF Profiles.
