Mobile Flood Protection System
BWF floodGUARD is a mobile flood protection system designed to provide temporary protection against flooding, heavy rainfall and inundation. The modular flood protection elements can be connected quickly, without tools to create a stable barrier system. After use, the elements can be cleaned, stored compactly and fully reused.
This mobile flood protection solution is suitable for private homes, industrial and commercial businesses, municipalities, fire services and operators of critical infrastructure. BWF floodGUARD is manufactured in Germany by BWF Thermoforms.

How the Mobile Flood Protection System Works
BWF floodGUARD consists of L-shaped flood protection elements made from ABS or PP. The individual elements are connected using a tool-free interlocking system, creating a continuous mobile flood barrier that can be adapted to different buildings, sites and protection requirements.
In addition to straight barrier lines, the system can form inward and outward curves (±30°) as well as complete enclosures. This makes it suitable for protecting areas such as building entrances, basement windows, underground car parks, commercial entrances and technical installations.
The vertical section of each element forms the retaining wall. As the water level rises, the increasing water pressure pushes the horizontal base more firmly against the ground, making the system increasingly stable.
Seals improve water resistance on hard surfaces such as paving, concrete, asphalt and tiles. After use, the elements are cleaned, dried and stored in reusable transport boxes.
A Reusable Alternative to Sandbags
One BWF floodGUARD element replaces approximately 23 sandbags. Unlike conventional sandbags, the protective elements require neither filling nor disposal after each use.
This significantly reduces the personnel, filling material, transport and disposal required. The flood protection system can also be stored ready for deployment and installed at short notice when a flood or heavy-rain warning is issued.

- Quick, tool-free installation. The interlocking system enables rapid installation without special tools. No specialist knowledge is required to connect the elements. Depending on the length and layout of the barrier, the system can be installed by a small team.
- Modular and flexibly expandable. The flood barrier can be adapted to a wide range of protection requirements. In addition to straight lines, it can form inward and outward curves as well as complete enclosures. Additional elements can be added at any time to extend an existing barrier.
- Fully reusable. BWF floodGUARD is not a single-use product. After deployment, the flood protection elements are cleaned, dried and returned to storage. This reduces material consumption and disposal requirements over repeated uses.
- Robust and weather-resistant. The elements are made from ABS or PP. These UV-stabilised plastics are designed for outdoor use. Seals help improve water resistance on a variety of hard surfaces.
- Customisable. The standard version is available in red, with additional colours offered for minimum orders of 100 units. Logos or lettering can also be embossed on the elements, allowing them to be clearly assigned to a municipality, fire service or company.
- Flood protection made in Germany. BWF floodGUARD is manufactured by BWF Thermoforms in Offingen. Production in Germany ensures short delivery routes and a reliable supply.
