#MyStory - Lars Karger tells his BWF Group story
In my still young BWF Group history, I have already been able to experience a lot and have travelled to the most diverse places. Even on a plane, I have seen BWF Group products in action at first hand, and that excites me. They are tangible products that are also used for an important cause: Safety. Through independent projects and contact with customers, I get direct feedback, which is very important to me. Seeing my customers satisfied is the best confirmation of my work. The good reputation of the BWF Group
For me as a textile specialist, the BWF Group has always been a household name. I learned in the industry and have worked with a wide variety of people who know the industry. In the process, I noticed the good reputation of the BWF Group, because those who had dealings with the BWF Group in the nonwovens industry always spoke well of the company. Because of this, I kept looking at job postings and at some point there was an advertisement for a Junior Product Manager. I applied and already in the first rounds of interviews it was clear to me that the good reputation was no coincidence. In addition, BWF Protec is right on my doorstep. That's not the main thing, of course, but it's quite practical. At the end of the interview process, the position as Junior Product Manager was no longer relevant, because I joined BWF Protec as Product Manager in July 2018.
Employee development with the best working atmosphere
The BWF Group is characterised by a super working atmosphere and outstanding colleagues. It doesn't matter whether it's the direct colleagues in sales, the colleagues in production or in the other divisions. You notice that at the BWF Group every single employee plays a role and is taken care of. I also notice that about myself. On the one hand, I get a lot of support, but on the other hand, a certain amount of commitment is demanded of me. But the commitment is worth it: in spring 2022, I was granted power of attorney. I was very happy about this trust in my work.
What are your highlights at the BWF Group so far?
One of my highlights at BWF Group were the "We@BWF Group" action days at the BWF Group headquarters in Offingen and at our BWF Protec location in Hof. It was great to see the value that the Managing Partners place on bringing the BWF Group's Leading Thoughts to the employees.
And of course, the international trips to the USA, Scandinavia and Great Britain, for example, are a highlight for me every time.
What do you see in the future at the BWF Group?
The BWF Group is broadly positioned, internationally represented and always future-oriented. The cooperation with the other divisions and the international locations goes very well and brings a lot of variety with it due to the travel that is part of my job and our product diversity. And BWF Protec itself is very innovative, flexible and thus well positioned for the future.
