People instead of numbers
#MyStory - Claus Strehle tells his BWF Group story
At the BWF Group, I am a person, not a number. Professional and private life are not strictly separable, and that's how we live it. I have always been able to bring my own ideas and goals into my work and the good transfer of knowledge between young and old means that we develop quickly. My 30 years with the BWF Group are just the beginning ...

My highlights in my personal BWF Group history
My history at the BWF Group began in 1992 as a chemistry lab technician. Some highlights during the last thirty years were the move to the new laboratory building and the complete re-equipment of the chemistry laboratory in 2013. Good technical equipment is an important prerequisite for our work. This is always kept at a high level in the laboratory, a requirement for successful analytical work. And that is really ensured here. This makes working really fun. Many photos document this impressively.
Here at the BWF Group, I enjoy the detective work in the analyses the most
I have always enjoyed chemical work and chemistry in general. In my job here in the chemistry lab, the detective work in the analyses is what I enjoy the most. Whenever something unknown comes up for investigation, my ambition awakens. Working with new technology is also part of what I love about my job. I also enjoy working with my colleagues, we are a great team. Everyone brings their special knowledge to the table and this results in real teamwork.
I have also been a trainer here for about 17 years and am proud of our young talents. When we started our training programme for textile laboratory assistants, the first graduate, Stefanie Hindelang, graduated as the best textile laboratory assistant in Germany. We were all together in Berlin at the IHK (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) celebration and were able to see the well-known German TV presenter Barbara Schöneberger live. By the way, that was also a nice highlight in my BWF Group history. And recently, Ms Hindelang took over the training activities from me.
Because you are a human being instead of a number
The proximity to the Offingen location is a nice advantage for me. I like to come by bike and don't have to travel long distances to get to my workplace.
I think it has to do with the fact that you are a person and not a number, that my story here at the BWF Group has lasted so long. You can't completely separate family and career, and I've also experienced how it can sometimes be difficult to reconcile the two. The family business has always stood behind me in these times and allowed me to work flexible hours. I also really appreciate the fact that I am allowed to work independently at the BWF Group. I can bring in my ideas and goals at any time and openly say what is important to me. I find something like that very important, but not a matter of course.
Passing on my knowledge to my successors
I can see my future continuing to be exciting. There are always new stories to experience and always things to learn. Personally, I think it is important that the quality of our products is constantly improved. My team and I stand for high quality standards and are committed to maintaining them. I also want to pass on the knowledge I have built up over the years to my successors. Working with my nice colleagues and the very good working atmosphere makes this process easier. Together we want to continue to enrich the company, find solutions and advance the BWF Group with the latest technology.
