Showing Power
#MyStory Anita Neugebauer tells her BWF Group story
I have always been passionate about technology and at BWF Group I can live out this passion. So far, I have been encouraged and supported by my colleagues. In the meantime, I have a lot of responsibility for people and machines, can prove my strength in technical challenges every day and feel appreciated and accepted by my colleagues. My 19 years with BWF Group are just the beginning ...

Unexpected lateral entry
My start at the BWF Group was somewhat unusual. I was working as a sales assistant in a bakery and was tipped off by a friend to apply for a job at the BWF Group. As a career changer, I then started at the BWF Group and began my training as a textile machine and plant operator in 2007. That was absolutely the best decision for me. Since 2017, I have been a shift supervisor and foreman substitute, which means I have a lot of responsibility for people and machines and can demonstrate my size in technical challenges every day.
When you enjoy something, you don't see it as work.
Due to my great interest in the subject matter, I have been given many opportunities at the BWF Group to take additional further training courses and to take on the associated tasks and responsibilities. For example, I have learned the activities of pre- and endcontrol, which includes checking whether the goods meet all the customer's requirements. In this way, I can also make a valuable contribution to customer satisfaction.
Curious, interested and committed
In addition to my day-to-day work, I look after the interests of the employees as part of the works council and actively shape working life at BWF Group. I have also voluntarily trained as a first aider. As you can see, my work is varied and I never get bored.
My highlights with great colleagues
One of many nice events was helping to organise the Christmas party, where we cut clothes out of felt for a fashion show. Many colleagues still talk about that today. In general, we get along great with each other, help each other and like to meet after work for bowling, dinner or an after-work drink. I wouldn't want to miss this working atmosphere.
Appreciation is a top priority
What I appreciate most is that the BWF Group has made a lot possible for me, and I am very grateful for that. I was able to attend the master school, had flexible and reduced working hours to look after my child and I was shown a lot of trust for my commitment. I think there is still a lot to learn and I am already looking forward to the next challenges that await me.
